Barbara Guggenheim Francoise Gilot Steve Wynn
In celebration of our 25th anniversary, Sun Valley Gallery Association is thrilled to present the Sun Valley Visual Arts Forum. This two-day event will feature discussions with guest speakers Barbara Guggenheim, Francoise Gilot and Steve Wynn, exhibitions at local SVGA galleries, as well as an outdoor sculpture exhibition.
This Forum will give our mountain-town-treasure-of-an-art-scene the attention it has long deserved by receiving the recognition of such well known, highly accomplished individuals of the art world. As Carol Waller, of the Sun Valley/Ketchum Chamber & Visitors Bureau says, “We are very excited to have a new arts event in our Valley that supports and promotes the world-class caliber of our many galleries, and showcases our incredibly rich art scene to both loyal patrons and those who may not have discovered it yet.”

Guest Speaker Biographies:
Barbara Guggenheim
As an art consultant in Los Angeles, Barbara Guggenheim advises the rich and famous. However, Barbara is no art snob. Her recent book, Decorating on eBay, is a memoir of having decorated a home completely from the online swap meet. A partner in Guggenheim and Asher & Associates (one of America’s best-known art consultant firms), Guggenheim has worked at auction houses, Sotheby’s and Christie’s, and regularly submits articles to W and Elle magazine.
Francoise Gilot
Since 1951, Francoise Gilot has had one-woman shows in many prestigious galleries throughout the world. In addition to her success in the art world, Gilot has received acclaim in the literary realm and in Hollywood as well. Having lived with Picasso as his model and the mother of his two children, Claude and Paloma, Gilot went on to write her acclaimed biography Life with Picasso, which later became a motion picture starring Anthony Hopkins.
Steve Wynn
As an internationally known collector and successful entrepreneur in Las Vegas, Steve Wynn has long supported the arts in the Wood River Valley. He is famous for purchasing Picasso’s “Le Reve,” which now resides as the centerpiece of the Wynn Las Vegas. A generous philanthropist, Wynn’s sharp entrepreneurial skills and passion for collectable artworks have allowed him to acquire one of the most impressive art collections in the world.
